Administration tasks for 9iAS rel 2
Assumptions and pre-requisites
No prior knowledge of 9iAS is assumed, DBA background could be an advantage.
Course Outline.
- Introducing Ias architecture including
SSO,Portal,HTTP,OC4J,Forms,Discoverer,Web cache, OEM, LDAP and Inet
Directory
- Installation options from stand alone to clustered environments including Info structure
and App server components.
- Starting and stopping components with OEM and command line tools.
- Study the various XML parameter files.
- Use OEM for performance monitoring and fault finding.
- Custom configuration of Apache HTTP server ( virtual host, security, SSL,
Ports, redirects etc)
- Configuring SSO for Forms, Reports, JSP, and external applications and
partner applications.
- Generating MOD_SSO config files.
- Applying patches and the current state of play.
- Deploying WAR and EAR files.
- Overview of web cache.
- Overview of Inet Directory and LDAP.
- Tasks such as change IP address of host.
- Backup and recovery.
- Advanced option : Rewire Portal installations.
